The home is located in Monte Paraiso, one of Playa Hermosa’s most prestigious gated communities. The beautifully landscaped development features solid paved roads, underground utilities, 24/7 security and backup pressurized water system.
Playa Hermosa is a small community just 25-minutes from Guanacaste Airport (LIR). It has a spectacular beachfront featuring many delicious restaurants. It’s a great launching point for scuba diving, sport fishing, and sightseeing tours depart from Coco. You’re also close to several area day trip spots – waterfalls, hiking, hot springs, and mud baths, cultural experiences, and river tours. You can head just a few minutes south to the conveniences of Playas del Coco with several grocery stores, many restaurants, bars and shops.
The main level features a soaring great room with a Smart TV, spacious dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar seating. Two ocean view king suites sit on either side of the home, offering privacy and direct access to the terrace. Upstairs, a third king suite with balcony access is joined by a cozy den with a sofa, wet bar, workspace, and Smart TV — perfect for relaxing or catching up on emails.
Step outside to sweeping terraces and an infinity-edge pool that seems to melt into the Pacific. HOUSE RULES
• AIR CONDITIONING – The main floor bedrooms and the living/kitchen have ductless A/C units with remotes. The second floor bedroom has a ducted A/C unit with a wall panel. Turn the A/Cs on and off, up and down. Guests should not turn air conditioner below 23C / 74F. Setting the air conditioning units too low will lead to damage.
• SMOKING – Smoking is only permitted OUTSIDE the home, on the terrace. Please ensure the patio doors are closed so that the smoke/smell does not come back into the home.
• BBQ – There is a propane BBQ for your use. Please CLEAN the BBQ after each use and turn the tank OFF when you’re done grilling. If you empty a tank, please let us know so that we can replace it with a new one!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• STREAMING SERVICES – We do not provide a login for streaming apps; you can feel free to log in using your personal account. Don’t worry if you forget to log out; we reset the apps after each visit!
• POOL CLEANING/LANDSCAPING – A company comes twice a week to clean the pool and care for the yard. They don’t need anything from you, just be aware that they may be on the property.
• WATER – The water in Costa Rica is safe to drink. If you have a sensitive stomach, we do suggest starting with bottled water as any change in water can cause an upset.
• UTILITIES – We have very consistent utility services but, as a developing country, interruptions do happen. Please keep in mind that we do not have an infrastructure like you might be used to at home; there is no centralized reporting system for power and water outages or internet interruptions. We try our best to find out more details when an outage happens, as it likely impacts many other customers and our own homes and offices.
SETTING THE SAFE
There is a safe in the closet at the bottom of the stairs, just outside of the laundry room. The safe default code is 5455. You are also provided with a key. To set your own code:
1. Press the red button on the side of the battery panel – the display should show “SET CODE”
2. Enter your 4-digit code
3. Press START

IMPORTANT! Before locking anything in the safe we HIGHLY recommend testing your safe code with the door open, and then testing again with the door closed BEFORE placing items in the safe. At departure, please leave the safe OPEN and the pins OUT. If the safe is left closed and we cannot open it, a locksmith fee will apply.

At the property, you’ll also find bath towels, beach towels, bed linens, and a supply of products including bar soap, dish soap, dish sponge, dishwasher tabs (if applicable), hand soap, garbage bags, paper towels, and toilet paper. Remember, this is not like a hotel; if you run out of these products during your stay you can purchase more at the local grocery store. Please note that we do not supply shampoo/conditioner or body wash.
