HOUSE RULES & INFORMATION
AIR CONDITIONING – There are ductless A/C units in the property, each operated by remote. For optimum performance, we set the mode to COOL and the fan to HIGH. You can adjust the temperature and fan speed up and down but guests should not turn air conditioners below 23C / 74F. Setting the air conditioning units too low will lead to damage of the unit and possibly the property. Please conserve energy and turn off the units when not using the room or when you leave the property. The mini-split air conditioners will cool down the rooms down very quickly upon your return.
SMOKING – Smoking or vaping is NOT permitted inside the property. If you are smoking outside, please keep the doors closed and dispose of cigarette butts and ashes responsibly.
GARBAGE – Garbage should be placed in the bins on the right side of the parking lot. There is no need to separate recyclables.
QUIET HOURS – Please keep outside noise to a minimum after 10pm.
POOL & COMMON SPACES – Please adhere to all posted signs at the pool(s).
PARKING – If there is no room in the lot, please park on the street. Do not block cars in the parking lot or park in other complexes.
STREAMING SERVICES – We do not provide a login for streaming apps; you can feel free to log in using your personal account. Don’t worry if you forget to log out; we reset the apps after each visit!
DRINKING WATER – The water in Costa Rica is safe to drink. If you have a sensitive stomach, we do suggest starting with bottled water as any change in water can cause an upset.
UTILITIES – We have very consistent utility services but, as a developing country, interruptions do happen. Please keep in mind that we do not have an infrastructure like you might be used to at home; there is no centralized reporting system for power and water outages or internet interruptions. We try our best to find out more details when an outage happens, as it likely impacts many other customers and our own homes and offices.
TOWELS – Per our Rental Agreement, no bath towels or linens are to be taken outside of the house except beach towels. Please do not use towels to remove makeup. If towels are damaged, a charge of $10 per damaged towel will be withheld from your security deposit.
BBQ – There is a BBQ at the condo for your use. After using the BBQ, please clean it and turn the propane tank OFF. Please check the level of the tank and report if it needs changing by 4pm so that we can do so during normal business hours. We cannot refill tanks after hours or on Sundays.
