After purchasing investment properties in the area, Dave made the leap and moved to Playas del Coco from Toronto, Ontario, in 2013. He has grown Rich Coast Vacations into a premier player in the area’s bustling rental scene. Dave manages new property acquisitions, rental property booking, accounting, and property owner relations. In recent years, Dave has expanded his love of real estate into property renovations and, more recently, new home builds with his second company, New Adventure Homes. He has collaborated with established builders, architects, and designers to create several unique and exquisite homes in the area. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in PACIFICO with their 3 daughters.
Kevin is known around town for his epic video resignation from his 25+ year career at Costco. Before leaving Ontario for Costa Rica to start his new career in property management, he told his employer that he couldn’t resign until he was on Costa Rican soil. There were just too many obstacles to overcome to move one’s entire life to another country during a worldwide pandemic. The day after his arrival, Kevin wrote his farewell note in the sand on a remote beach and sent the video to his supervisor. He traded his forklift for a golf cart and his steel-toed boots for a pair of flip-flops. As the House Manager for Rich Coast Vacations’ 80+ properties, Kevin manages our cleaning staff, oversees repairs and maintenance, and ensures properties are in top shape for our guests.
Jennifer always dreamed of trading the harsh Canadian winters for tropical beaches and year-round heat. After a successful career at John Deere, she took an opportunity to pivot into a completely different industry. As a former process efficiency expert, she brings organization and efficiency to an inherently chaotic business. Jennifer manages all aspects of Guest Services, assisting guests from booking to check out, helping them plan their perfect vacations. She also manages the Rich Coast Vacations social media, website, and third-party booking platforms. Fun fact! Jennifer and Kevin were once Dave’s clients! He helped them purchase and renovate a condo in Las Palmas. Jennifer and Kevin were finally able to relocate to their condo in September of 2020 permanently.

We spent an extraordinary week at this beautiful property and are already planning our next visit. The infinity pool and ocean views are just as breathtaking and restorative as they look in the photos. Rich Coast Vacations arranged an itinerary that was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Playa Hermosa is gritty and vibrant and feels a world apart and much more interesting than a typical tourist destination. We especially enjoyed a riverboat tour of the nature preserve and a sailboat tour that included lots of swimming in the crystal-clear waves of the Pacific Ocean. The private chef cooked for us four nights out of seven and our 9-year-old son became a passionate Mahi-mahi enthusiast despite a general distrust of anything not served with ketchup. We cannot wait to come back!
This property is amazing! From the location to the check-in process, to the property itself, everything was top rate. We had four adults and 6 teenage children with us (15-19). We rented three golf carts to get around for the week and a car for two days for the adults to get a little farther away day trip. The golf carts were great to run into the grocery store and the restaurants and beaches. We arranged travel for excursions to Diamante and ATV riding. Rich Coast Vacations were the perfect hosts, arranging things for us and dealing with any minor issues or questions. If you are four couples looking for a great house…you will be hard-pressed to beat this house! We will be back with friends and with family!
